1. Scope
This Cancellation Policy applies to sell / recycle requests booked on the V-Recycling website or mobile experiences that reference this policy.
Corporate, institutional, or bulk pickup agreements may be governed by separate written terms; where silent, this policy applies as a baseline.
2. Definitions
- “Order” means a confirmed request to evaluate and collect an eligible device or appliance at a scheduled slot.
- “Booked” means your order is confirmed but a final pickup slot may still be adjusted within communicated windows.
- “Scheduled” means a pickup date/time window has been allocated and communicated to you.
- “You” means the person or entity named on the order.
3. Cancellation by you (customer)
You may cancel your order without penalty subject to the timelines below.
If your order is in Booked or Scheduled status, you may cancel through the self-service flow on the website (or by contacting support using the same mobile number as on the order) until two (2) hours before the start of your scheduled pickup window.
After that cut-off, cancellation may not be available online because routing and partner capacity are already committed. In genuine emergencies, contact support—we will try to accommodate but cannot guarantee cancellation after the cut-off.
When a cancellation is accepted, any provisional payout hold or quote reservation tied solely to that order is released. If you had been asked to pay any service fee (rare for standard consumer pickups), reversal timelines follow your payment instrument issuer’s rules.
4. Partial pickup or revised scope
If at pickup the physical item materially differs from what was declared (e.g., different model, missing major component), the field team may refuse that line item or revise the quote. That is not a “cancellation” of the whole order if you accept a revised offer; if you decline the revised offer, the item may not be collected and the order may be closed as not completed.
5. Cancellation or rescheduling by V-Recycling
We may cancel or reschedule pickups due to events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, regulatory restrictions, safety issues, partner unavailability, or force majeure.
If we cancel, we will notify you by SMS, WhatsApp, and/or email (based on what you provided) and offer to rebook at the next available slot. We do not charge customers a cancellation fee for company-initiated cancellations of standard pickup orders.
6. Missed pickup / customer no-show
If logistics arrives within the agreed window and cannot complete pickup due to customer unavailability, incorrect address, or refusal without a valid reason, the order may be marked as failed. Repeated no-shows may lead to temporary restrictions on new bookings to protect partner capacity.
7. Data after cancellation
Retention of order-related records follows our Privacy & Cookies policy and applicable law. Some transactional records may be kept for audit, tax, or dispute resolution for the period required by law.
